UGLY SWEATER CHRISTMAS PARTY!

On Saturday, my mom hosted an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at my house. She decorated the place really nice. There was a table full of appetizers and everyone arrived in their ugly sweater.

We all had a fun time talking, and having fun. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the music! There wasn’t a lot of people here but we all still had a GREAT TIME. Family time is always the best. I always cherish the moments I have with them.

My sister also invited two of her friends!

CHRISTMAS IS MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY

Final Blog Post!! :(

When I first entered York College 2 years ago, I wanted to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. I always enjoyed spending time on the computer and I loved designing school projects as a kid. When I was enrolling for classes, one of the mentors that was helping the incoming freshman told me he took CT101 for one of his classes and he loved it! I looked into it, and it interested me, I just never had a chance to enroll.

My passion for wanting to pursue a degree in Graphic Design kind of faded over the year because I started taking Psychology classes and just stuck to that. My friend last semester told me he took CT101 and recommended it. I decided to give it a shot and take it as an elective.

I believe taking this class was a wise decision. To me, it balances out with my other classes. Some classes give so much work that you don’t even have time for yourself, and it makes you so exhausted 🙁

sleeeeepy

but this class was great. I learned so many new things on photoshop, I learned how to make GIF’s, gifs in motion, vaporwaves, and I even had the opportunity to create my very own website.

Although there was some frustration here and there, I managed to pull through. Sometimes I didn’t know how to do certain things because I accidentally missed a step professor was teaching, but hey, thats all in the game.

In all honesty, I never thought I could make a GIF in motion. I’ve always saw images like that online and always wanted to make one myself. This was one of my favorite projects that we’ve done and I also liked the vaporwaves.

Loved how this GIF in motion turned out.
This was my favorite vaporwaves that I created.
This was my second favorite!

I really enjoyed getting to see my classmates unique work and their skills. It’s good to know that you can learn from them. Sometimes when I was stuck and didn’t know how to do a certain task, people who sat next to me reached out and helped. Everyone was really helpful in this class which I loved. I loved the environment here.

I’m not sure if I will maintain my website after this class but it was really cool creating one. A website with my name on it is AWESOME!

MY FAVORITE GIF OF MYSELF

Overall, I think I deserve an A. I think I did my work well and I even installed photoshop at home to create more vaporwaves. This class was fun and I recommend it to anyone. Best of luck to all my fellow classmates! Lastly, thank you Prof.Seslow for teaching me new skills and giving me an opportunity to be more involved with blogging.

Post from 9/13

By far, CT 101 has been my favorite class this semester. Prof. Seslow is amazing and super chill. I knew this class was gonna be fun because my friend recommended it. I’m really enjoying it and I’m glad to be learning new things. Learning how to make a meme was cool. I think the hardest part was finding a picture for the meme. I look forward to learning more new and fun things.

Last year’s Christmas Tree vs This Years.

Every year for Christmas, my mom always changes up the color scheme. If theres anything in the world that she loves to do is shop, cook, an decorate the house. For last year, we decided to do a gold and silver theme.  Honestly, this was one of my favorites that we’ve done. Everything looked so pretty! Even the gift wrapping matched.

This Christmas, we did the traditional colors which we have done many times in the past. I prefer the gold and silver tree because it’s more to my liking.

Post from 10/16

Today in class, I made another GIF in motion with the help of my classmate Selena. We followed the steps but we got stuck at the end. Somehow, she figured out the timeline part. All we had to do was make frames from layers and thats what we had the most issues with. I was about to give up because I was getting frustrated. I honestly wouldn’t have known how to do this process again if it wasn’t for that tutorial video Prof. Seslow posted.

I chose Chris Brown because I LOVE him. I loved his music ever since I was younger. Although he has been through a lot in his career, his music is still great. I think this GIF in motion could have came out better but I tried my best.

Thanksgiving at my house!

Every thanksgiving, all my family come to my house. It’s pretty cool because my cousins actually live across the street from me, which makes everything way easier. Usually my mom invites everyone over for 6:00 but this year, we she invited them to come over earlier for 3:00. The reason for this was because we had to go to a wedding the next day, and the weekend was so hectic!

(Wedding Post Below)

Thanksgiving is always a great time to catch up with family.. eat, and have a good time. Even though my cousins live across the street from me, I barely get a chance to see them because everyone is so busy with school and work 🙁

Some are missing from the photo but thats fine. We had a great time talking about old times when we were younger. My mom made so much food and everyone enjoyed their night!

Nick & Charlene’s Wedding!

On Sunday, I had the opportunity to attend my cousin’s fairytale wedding. It was truly a day to remember. My family and I traveled to New Jersey to The Venetian Catering. This place was beyond gorgeous! When we arrived, we met up with some family and just talked for a bit until cocktail hour started. They had delicious food and of course they had my favorite, sushi!

When the door opened for the hall, I was in awe. Everything looked so fancy and PRETTY.  Beautiful pink and white flowers were there. After a while, the party finally got started with introducing the parents of the bride and groom and the bridal party.

After the bridal party did their dances as they came out.. The bride and groom made their entrance and they looked perfect! The entire night was so much fun and I had a blast. One of my favorite parts was the deserts especially because they had so many options.

I found this image online and thought it was really pretty, so I wanted to try and recreate it. I found similar images online. I found a sun, palm trees, and water. It was difficult trying to get the water to look like this and to even change the color. This picture was a GIF because the water wasn’t still, it was moving, I think I did a pretty decent job below.

I really liked how this vaporware came out. I wanted to do something a little different so I found a picture of a building for the background, and cars. I used to lines as a parking lot. I added a palm tree in as well.
